The Course at Hokuala overlooks the gateway to the island of Kauai. No other golf course in Hawaii has more ocean holes than the Kiele course. Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, architect of the Kiele Course at Kauai Lagoons, made but a single change to his original design because the terrain lent itself so well to his initial vision.

Most players will discover almost immediately that the Kiele Course has a style uniquely its own. Fairways weave along imposing ocean cliffs high above Nawiliwili Harbor and among nearly 40 acres of freshwater lagoons that twist their way through the resort. Lush groves of exotic foliage thrive all around the course giving it a very tropical feel.

In 2011 Jack Nicklaus redesigned the back nine of famed Kiele Course will all new greens, white silica sand bunkers and 3 new holes.  Hokuala  features the longest stretch of continuous ocean holes of any course in Hawaii!
