The Challenge at Manele Golf Course
No Hawaii Golf Vacation is complete without at least one round of golf on Lana'i which has two world class courses that have been somewhat of a secret until recently. Our price includes round trip water transportation via ferry from Lahaina Harbor, Maui; ground transportation on Lana`i to and from the golf course, 18 holes of golf, and a shared golf cart.
The Challenge at Manele golf course features 3 holes constructed on the cliffs of Hulopoe Bay which use the Pacific Ocean as a dramatic water hazard. The signature Par 3 Number 12 plays from a cliff 150 feet above the crashing waves to a picture perfect pin.
This par 72 course is built on several hundred acres of natural lava situated on a hillside overlooking one of Hawaii's best white sand beaches, Hulopo`e Bay and the sea promontories of Lanai. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the five-tee concept challenges even the best golfers with tight tee shots over natural ravines and stunning views of the Pacific from every hole.
The spectacular natural setting of The Challenge at Manele virtually guarantees an unforgettable round for every golfer who plays here. Perched atop 200-foot cliffs, the course offers dramatic views of the Pacific. Verdant fairways are bordered by black lava outcrops, reminders of the volcanic origin of Lana'i.
