Green Sea Turtles visit the bay every year to nest in the bay's pristine waters. The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Golf is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Golf features two different experiences. The front nine is almost completely lacking trees and bushes. It features sand, water, wind, and undulating terrain. The back nine snakes through a forest of ironwood pines and offers a completely different feel. The landing area of the signature 17th hole is surrounded by no less than nine bunkers and extends all the way up to the green. The signature 17th green is perched on a plateau only 100 feet from the Pacific ocean.
